Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 39.55 per hour

Job

Job Responsibilities

Work on capital and maintenance projects for Council buildings.

Design, plan, and manage construction projects from start to finish.

Engage with customers, tenants, and leaseholders.

Prepare feasibility studies and detailed project plans.

Conduct various building surveys and write reports.

Manage project budgets effectively.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Maintain high customer satisfaction.

Prepare work programs and ensure timely delivery.

Attend meetings and provide advice to stakeholders.

Supervise and train new staff.

Participate in professional development and promote equality.

Adhere to health and safety guidelines at work.

Respond to correspondence from stakeholders.

Attend public meetings and provide reports.

Person Specifications

Must Have

Experience in capital and maintenance projects.

Knowledge of construction health and safety regulations.

Experience in using AutoCAD for design.

Knowledge of building regulations and legislation.

Ability to manage budgets and meet deadlines.

HNC in Building Studies.

Accredited qualification in AutoCAD or similar.

Valid driving license.

Accredited qualification in Health and Safety.

Nice to Have

Experience with E-procurement and competitive bidding.

Knowledge of asbestos regulations.

Experience in building pathology.

Creativity in service improvements.

Ability to work flexibly on projects.
