Award-winning Multi-National Tier 1 Contractor is seeking a driven, and ambitious individual to join their Technical Service Team at the Head Office in Swindon. The company has offices across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, employing over 55,000 people with a turnover of £25bn per annum.
The successful candidate will be:
- Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering / HND
- Have a minimum of 24 months design experience in a similar role on projects including Rail, Highways, or Major structures
- Demonstrate proactive improvements and alternative solutions using efficient and cost-effective measures
- Possess knowledge of various forms of Temporary Works, project programming, and Civil Engineering construction such as reinforced structures and earthworks
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the process, resolution, and communication of all design queries within the project
- Produce and check temporary works designs as required
- Develop design risk assessments and method statements
- Review suppliers’ risk assessments and method statements
- Explain works preparations to project management
- Raise requests for further information
- Coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors for additional information
- Specify and monitor temporary works schemes
- Produce outline Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Ensure high standards of work production with robust checking procedures
