Senior Academic Associate – UAS Biotechnology (80‑100%)

• Contribute to the teaching in Biotechnology.
• Provide supervision, instruction, and mentorship to students throughout their educational journey.
• Undertake R&D projects and industrial assignments within the Institute of Life Sciences.
• Participate in the acquisition of R&D project mandates.

• PhD in Bioprocess Engineering or related field; a minimum of 5 years of work experience, academia and industry, in process development, biotechnological production or a related field.
• Demonstrated background in biopharmaceutics, downstream processing and process engineering.
• Proven proficiency in programming with a focus on scientific programming, as well as design and analysis of experiments.
• Prior experience in project management, R&D project acquisition is highly appreciated.
• Considered advantageous: experience in molecular biology, formulation, teaching, and a solid publication track record.
• Fluent in English, proficiency in either French or German.

Employment: 80‑100%.

Place of work:
Sion, 1950 Sion.

Starting date: 1 June 2026 or to be agreed upon.
