Senior Business Technology Engineer – 100%

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Business Technology Engineer to support, enhance, and oversee the evolution of our internal business application ecosystem.
This role combines strong technical skills, deep understanding of business processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to future AI integration, process automation, and intelligent tooling initiatives across the organization that add real business value.
The position requires someone who takes a practical, hands-on approach to maintaining and improving our business applications, while also listening, questioning, and guiding stakeholders from concept to delivery.
The ideal candidate is able to navigate complex and unconventional business processes, challenge assumptions, and translate ambiguous or conflicting requirements into clear, feasible, scalable, and pragmatic solutions/projects.

Nvalue’s business environment is dynamic and distributed across multiple offices, each with its own unique needs and challenges, making adaptability, practical problem-solving, and effective collaboration essential.
The candidate must be able to understand complex business dynamics, navigate uncertainty, engage stakeholders and external consultants effectively, contributing to the optimization of existing systems and leading AI integration initiatives by identifying opportunities where intelligent tools can deliver real business value.

Key responsibilities
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand, map, and refine business processes and requirements
  • Translate unclear or evolving requests into structured functional and technical specifications
  • Drive solution design for our in-house business applications, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical feasibility
  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI-assisted capabilities, guiding the organization in adopting emerging technologies
  • Coordinate external consultants and technology partners, ensuring alignment and timely delivery
  • Advocate for scalable, future-proof solutions that support long-term organizational growth
  • Occasionally travel to European offices to gather business requirements and understand local user needs
Desired technical Knowledge & expertise
  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and IT systems, with exposure to business process analysis and the ability to bridge technical solutions and operational needs.
  • Understanding of modern automation patterns; interest in AI-based systems and integration
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Understanding of Project Management (capacity to plan and prioritize)

  • Understands user needs and strives to deliver real value through solutions and interactions.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the autonomy and proactivity to question, refine, and structure business needs
  • Proven ability to translate unclear, conflicting, or evolving business requirements into practical solutions
  • Ability to work effectively within distributed and heterogeneous teams, engaging and aligning multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with non-technical actors
  • Self-driven, collaborative, and proactive, capable of taking initiative and leading projects
  • Practical, hands-on approach both to business challenges and technical matters, focused on real, actionable outcomes
  • Comfortable working in environments with fluid priorities and evolving requirements
  • Motivated by new challenges and evolving responsibilities, with a preference for a horizontal, cross-functional perspective.

Fluent in English is mandatory.
Additional European language (Italian, Bulgarian, German or French) will be considered a plus.
