Manufacturing Specialist (m/f/d)
Role at Lonza in Visp, Switzerland. Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates.

- Perform manufacturing activities in the Downstream Processing area according to cGMP guidelines
- Ensure batch execution, evaluate test results, resolve issues and troubleshoot manufacturing; provide recommendations for resolution
- Follow strict guidelines of SHE (Safety, Health, Environment), EM (Environmental Monitoring), operation and cleaning within the production area
- Advise on continuous process improvement projects within the production area
- Advise on document preparation (e.g. electronic batch records, SOPs) specific to the assigned production area
- Act as a technical reference for other shift team members on the production area
- Responsible for the continuous training of the manufacturing staff on specific equipment or standard operations
- Completed chemical / biopharmaceutical education or corresponding training qualification;
Bachelor / Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemical Engineering or related fields is an advantage - Good knowledge of biotechnological processes in the area of mammalian protein purification (DSP)
- Strong communication skills, collaborative great teammate, motivated and passionate about finding solutions
- Fluency in English required; fluency in German is considered a plus
- Open to work in shift (4-shift system)
- Very good GMP understanding required
