Summer Students in Energy and Environmental Sciences
The Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. We conduct cutting‑edge research in future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation, and fundamentals of nature. PSI employs 2,300 people, of whom one quarter are post‑docs, post‑graduates or apprentices.
- Internship (Index‑‑T1)
- Duration: 8–12 weeks (typical)
- Full time: 100%
- Participate in research activities of the center
- Contribute to an individual work project for 8–12 weeks
- Attend complementary lectures and activities with other students
- Completed three years of full‑time university studies by summer 2026 in natural or engineering sciences or computing
- Expected to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in summer 2026 or be enrolled in a Master’s programme
- Not previously a PSI summer student
- Good working knowledge of English and basic computing skills
For the duration of typically 8–12 weeks, you will be part of a research group at PSI, contributing to its research activities through an individual work project. Your stay will be enriched by complementary lectures and activities with other students.
