Bus Driver

Job Description:

We are seeking a Bus Driver with a CDL license.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
• Must hold a valid public passenger chauffeur's license or a commercial driver's license (CDL-S) issued by the State of Indiana or any other State.
• Must pass a physical examination demonstrating sufficient physical ability to operate a school bus, including:
• Full use of both hands, arms, feet, legs, eyes, and ears.
• No communicable diseases transmissible through airborne or droplet means, and free from diseases impairing ability to operate a bus.
• Visual acuity of at least 20/40 in each eye, with or without correction, a minimum field of vision of 150 degrees, and at least 80% depth perception.
• The corporation will cover the cost for candidates to obtain their CDL-S license with a three-year driving commitment.
• Must have good moral character.
• Must not consume intoxicating liquor during school hours or while on duty, nor use it to excess at any time.

Additional Requirements:

• Possess the required physical characteristics as determined by the State school bus committee (575 IAC 1-8).
