Shift Charge Engineer

Join a leading operations & maintenance team supporting one of Saudi Arabia's key Reverse Osmosis (RO) water desalination facilities
. As Shift Charge Engineer
, you will lead plant operations during your shift, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production of potable water while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Lead and supervise all operational activities during your shift, ensuring stable and efficient desalination plant performance.
• Oversee RO systems, high-pressure pumps, energy recovery devices, pretreatment and post-treatment units, and chemical dosing systems.
• Manage start-up, shutdown, system resets, alarms, and emergency responses in accordance with approved procedures.
• Ensure all plant activities fully comply with HSSE policies, permit-to-work (PTW) systems, and company safety standards.
• Monitor water quality parameters and coordinate with laboratory/chemistry teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Troubleshoot process and operational issues in real time, minimizing downtime and maintaining production targets.
• Prepare accurate shift reports, logbooks, and handover notes to maintain operational continuity.
• Coordinate with maintenance, electrical, mechanical, and I&C teams to address equipment problems and support preventive maintenance.
• Optimize chemical dosing, energy consumption, and production efficiency through proactive process adjustments.
• Mentor and guide control room operators and field technicians to maintain high operational performance.

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Process Engineering

• 5-7 years' operational experience in a water desalination plant (Reverse Osmosis preferred); 10+ years if holding a diploma.
• Strong working knowledge of RO technology, high-pressure pumping systems, filtration, chemical treatment, and process control.
• Experience leading shift teams in a continuous-process environment (power/water/utilities).
• Proficiency with SCADA/DCS systems

• Solid understanding of HSSE procedures, PTW systems, and emergency response protocols.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English
