Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) strategies for fast track construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with international and local safety standards, codes, and regulations.
- Oversee HSE planning and execution across all phases of construction, including hazardous material handling, cross country pipeline works, and high risk activities.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols for EPC contractors and subcontractors.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments for hazardous operations, including chemical handling, pipeline installation, and confined space activities.
- Develop contingency plans and emergency response procedures for critical scenarios.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to environmental and safety laws.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for audits and inspections.
- Lead HSE training programs for project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Foster a proactive safety culture across all project sites.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Report safety performance metrics to senior management and the Board.
- Collaborate with internal teams, EPC partners, and external agencies to align HSE objectives with project goals.
- Provide transparent reporting on safety risks and compliance status.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental) or equivalent.
- Professional certifications in HSE (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of hazardous material handling, pipeline construction, and industrial safety standards.
- Minimum 20 years of extensive experience in HSE management for large scale, fast track construction projects.
- Proven track record in managing safety for hazardous operations and cross country pipeline works.
- Experience in EPC environments and multi disciplinary projects.
