An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee / Junior Estimator to join a well specialist contractor, offering structured development, hands‑on training, and a clear progression route into a fully independent Estimator role.

This position is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career in estimating and pre‑construction.

• Assist in preparing estimates and tender submissions
• Read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
• Produce accurate take-offs and quantify materials
• Help price materials, labour and subcontract packages
• Prepare and maintain tender documentation and internal databases
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Support senior estimators through all stages of the tender process
• Gain exposure to procurement, pre‑construction planning, and project handover

• Degree or HNC/HND in a construction‑related discipline (essential)
• Strong numerical ability and analytical thinking
• Ability to read drawings (training provided where required)
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (essential) – lookups, formulas, data entry, spreadsheets
• Good general IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Confident verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and methodical approach
• Proactive, eager to learn, and able to follow processes accurately
• Based within a commutable of Tadworth
• Genuine desire to build a career in estimating

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (DOE)
