Estimator, Construction, Building & Residential Construction

Our client, a high-end joinery and fit-out specialist, is seeking an Assistant Estimator or Estimator to join their head office team in Tadworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with either a joinery background or a relevant qualification (HNC or equivalent) who is seeking an opportunity to further develop as an Estimator within the industry.

Working closely with the Chief Estimator and Pre-Contracts Director, you'll gain exposure to prestigious projects valued in excess of £3 million, with excellent prospects to develop into a senior role and manage your own workload independently.

Estimator - Benefits

Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 (DOE, dependent on level of teaching/support required)
29 days' holiday (all inclusive)
Office-based role, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Estimator

- Role Overview

Produce accurate estimates for bespoke joinery and fit-out projects
Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare competitive bids
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather cost data
Support the Chief Estimator with pricing high-value projects
Assist in setting up construction teams post-tender award and placing orders
Attend client meetings and support business development/marketing activities

Estimator - Requirements

Background in joinery OR HNC (or equivalent qualification) in construction-related field
Previous experience in estimating is advantageous
Strong numerical, analytical, and IT skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Driven, ambitious, and keen to develop into a senior role
Based within commuting distance of Tadworth
Must be office-based (travel costs to office not included in package)
