An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Families First Team in Trafford
. This ongoing locum role offers flexibility across part-time and full-time working arrangements and an attractive hourly rate of £35.00.
You will play a key role within Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council’s Families First Service, working primarily with vulnerable children and young people, including Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC). The post focuses on early help, safeguarding, and targeted interventions to improve outcomes and promote stability for children and families. - Manage a caseload of children and young people, with a particular focus on Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC).
- Complete high-quality assessments, plans, and interventions in line with statutory requirements and Families First pathways.
- Provide specialist safeguarding and care planning support for UASC, ensuring their welfare and best interests are prioritised.
- Promote stability, resilience, and positive outcomes for children, ensuring their views, wishes, and feelings inform all decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partner agencies to meet the holistic needs of children and families.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely reports for statutory meetings, reviews, and other formal processes.
- Identify, assess, and manage safeguarding concerns effectively, maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date case records.
