Registered Nurse (RN) – Adult Behavioral Program

Neuro Restorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys person-centered care, behavioral health, neurorehabilitation, and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

As an RN, you'll play an important role in coordinating and delivering high-quality nursing services while supporting each individual's unique medical and behavioral needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct nursing and medical assessments and help determine appropriate services and supports.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Develop, review, and update nursing care plans based on each individual's changing needs.
  • Administer medications safely and maintain accurate medication administration documentation.
  • Promote health, wellness, prevention, and healthy outcomes for the individuals we serve.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records, physician orders, nursing documentation, and reports.
  • Communicate with primary care physicians, specialists, families, and other members of the care team.
  • Develop individualized healthcare protocols based on medical conditions and treatment needs.
  • Provide nursing education and medical skills training to staff, individuals, caregivers, and families when appropriate.
  • Provide consultation and clinical guidance to team members regarding medical needs, home care, and durable medical equipment.
  • Assist with medical appointments and coordination of care as needed.
  • Participate in the on-call system when required.
  • Support additional program and clinical needs as appropriate.

We're looking for an RN with:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program
  • At least one year of experience working with medically complex individuals
  • Experience with behavioral health, developmental disabilities, acquired brain injuries, substance use disorders, or similar populations is highly valued
  • Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR/ First Aid Certification
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance if transportation of individuals is required

This position may require the ability to perform heavy physical work, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds consistently when necessary to safely support individuals receiving services. The position may also involve potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues while performing nursing responsibilities.
