Corporate Tax Director

Salary: up to £120,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose is delighted to partner with a well‑respected firm in the UK. As part of their business strategy to grow, they have an amazing opportunity for a Corporate Tax Director to join their team in Tamworth. They are looking for a Tax Professional who's ambitious and enjoys business development, mentoring and training junior staff, plus dealing with technical aspects of the role.

Role Requirements
  • Lead, develop, and strengthen client relationships across key portfolios.
  • Demonstrate deep insight into client needs and provide forward‑looking tax guidance.
  • Deliver excellent client satisfaction and manage cross‑service line delivery.
  • Act as a recognised technical expert in Corporate Tax and OMB matters.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes and enhance team performance through training and development.
  • Promote excellence, adherence to key processes, and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive, and inclusive culture.
  • Lead by example, championing the firm’s values, strategy, and ethical standards.
  • Promote wellbeing and strong team morale.
  • Strategically build an external network that generates new work opportunities.
  • Grow and lead a strong client portfolio, introducing new services and driving fee growth.
  • Collaborate across service lines to achieve shared commercial goals.
  • Uphold pricing strategies and contribute to commercial reviews.
  • Lead complex tax engagements and anticipate emerging issues.
  • Work seamlessly with tax specialists and other advisory teams.
  • Contribute to departmental strategy, transformation initiatives, and quality improvement.
  • Build strong internal and external networks, showcasing the team's capabilities.
Personal Requirements
  • Accountancy and/or tax qualification (e.g., ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA), or qualified by experience.
  • Significant experience within an accountancy practice, demonstrating development of the core and technical skills outlined.
  • Proven leadership experience within Corporate Tax, ideally with an OMB focus.
