Product Development Manager; Chemical

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading Indonesian chemical manufacturing. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10 years' experience in chemical products for the job of Product Development Manager. The job is based in Tangerang, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Report directly to GM Technical
• Manage a R&D team in chemical products application
• Handle the product development
• Provide functional support and technical advice to the operations team on a wide range of chemical products
• Create Bill Of Material & reviewing product development
• Manage research and development products start from concept until production
• Develop project document as customer requirement
• Conduct research and development for a chemical product
• Develop a product especially for project, retail and decorative flooring market
• Coordinate with manufacturing, purchasing and engineering team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering from reputable university
• Minimum 10 years' experience in chemical or building material products
• Strong exposure in research and product development of chemical and flooring products
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining external relationships at senior levels
• Knowledge of chemical market
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with teams and networks and influence outcomes at many levels in an organization
• Strong oral and written communication skills are mandatory
• Medium to high level computer skills including spreadsheets, data bases
• Influencing and networking skills
• Strong strategic purchasing and negotiations skills are required
• Track-record of business development
• Solid leadership skills, mentoring and coaching
• Strong problem-solving ability and effective employee management experience
