We are working with a highly respected organisation in Taunton who are looking to appoint a Business Development Executive to join their expanding Commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is driven, relationship‑focused and eager to build a long‑term career within the insurance sector.

Previous insurance experience is highly desirable, though candidates with a strong commercial mindset and a genuine interest in the sector will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients
Supporting the development of new business opportunities across the local commercial market
Reviewing client information and documentation to ensure accuracy during the quoting process
Working closely with senior colleagues to support renewal retention and deliver exceptional service
Ensuring all activity meets compliance and FCA requirements
Maintaining accurate data and records to support internal processes and informed decision‑making
Essential Skillset

Experience in business development, sales, or a client‑facing commercial role
Strong attention to detail and the ability to review information accurately
Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport at all levels
Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
Insurance experience or a strong interest in developing a career within the sector
Comfortable using internal systems and Microsoft Office application
Package

£30,000 – £40,000 all‑in salary (no commission)
Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm
