We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated part‑time B5 Speech and Language Therapist. The post will be based in Tavistock and the West Devon area and will be part of the highly supportive Torbay, South and West Team, delivering a community speech and language therapy service to children and young people within clinic and education settings.

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is the place to be! We are developing an innovative, integrated model of children’s community services and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county‑wide professional teams.

• To independently manage, with access to support from more senior colleagues and the team, a caseload of children and young people in the West Devon area with developmental disorders of speech, language and communication.
• The provision of a speech and language therapy service of assessment, diagnosis and treatment of developmental disorders of speech, language and communication.
• To provide appropriate intervention and evaluate outcomes.
• To provide advice to parents and carers, early years and school staff and other professionals on matters relating to the speech, language and communication needs of individual children and young people.
• To set up and monitor programmes to be carried out by other key workers.
• To write reports reflecting specialist knowledge.

Children and Family Health Devon is a system‑wide service that delivers an integrated, coordinated support model which wraps around the child, young person and family. It has been specifically designed to respond to all elements of the commissioner’s strategy and specification along with the vision and strategic direction of the STP. It builds on our strong relationships across education, health, social care and voluntary sector services in Devon, and, most importantly, it has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
