Responsibilities
  • Supporting and ensuring planned maintenance tasks are kept up to date
  • Creating service tickets and allocating to engineers as required
  • Assisting with planning on site works and coordinating Field Service Engineers
  • Supporting with organising accommodation for Field Service Engineers
  • Liaising with sub‑contractors as requested and filing job reports in a timely manner
  • Generating purchase orders for equipment/sub‑contractors as requested, tracking parts deliveries with suppliers
  • Managing calibration records and arranging equipment testing
  • Managing the supply of lubricating oil and removal of used oil and coolant from the Flexible Generation sites
  • Arranging any hire equipment needed for Field Service Engineers to carry out tasks
  • Assisting store coordinator with any part orders and returns, keeping all records up to date
  • Assisting Store Coordinator with incoming/outgoing goods, using lifting equipment where required (full training will be given), checking off delivery notes and adding items to stock in the warehouse
  • Assisting the service support coordinator with engineers van stock takes
  • Providing holiday cover for the Telford store coordinator when required
  • Assisting the support desk with incoming telephone calls and email
Qualifications
  • Experience delivering administration support in a fast‑moving and demanding operational environment
  • Ability to plan and organise maintenance schedules and assign duties
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Ability to balance time between daily and strategic goals while managing the team’s time to ensure daily tasks are accomplished
  • Excellent communicator with a commitment to customer service and satisfaction

Additional Information

  • Competitive salary to be discussed at interview
  • Hours of work: 40 hours per week. Monday – Friday, 08:00-17:00 with one‑hour unpaid lunch

The Service Support Administrator role will require extensive warehouse‑based activity including manual handling and lifting. Full training on the lifting equipment will be given.
