Control Systems Engineer

Working in close partnership with our customers to solve complex engineering challenges, by using the ingenuity of our people in the application of advanced control techniques. Our Engineering positions provide a challenging opportunity in the commissioning of automated systems.

Reporting to Manufacturing Director.

• PLC Programming – writing & developing code:
  Allen Bradley Rockwell and PLC Siemens S7/TIA Portal
• Development of structured ladder logic, statement list, function blocks
• Set-up of system communications:
  Ether Net, Modbus and Profibus
• Set-up of drives: AC/DC, and inverters
• Knowledge of PID controllers for control of flow, level, pressure, temperature and humidity
• Perform testing & validation of hardware/software systems
• On site commissioning of new systems both UK and worldwide
• Conduct customer training
• Development of Robot and PLC software
• Remote customer support – fault finding and diagnostics
• Be familiar with Risk Assessment and typical Health and Safety Issues in the workplace.
• Operate within company procedures

• Experienced in PLC programming – Allen Bradley as a minimum – this is a must
• PLC / SCADA system design & development
• Systems, Software & Hardware development experience
• Knowledge of Ignition systems desirable

• B.Eng / M.Eng Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronic degree qualification
• BTEC with significant controls experience will be considered

• Telford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £47,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
