We’re seeking a talented and commercially minded Town Planner to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Telford. Renowned for delivering innovative commercially focused solutions across the UK, the company integrates expertise in planning, architecture, landscape, ecology and design helping clients create thriving sustainable places.

This is a full-time position offering a hybrid working model (3 days in the Telford office and 2 days remote). You’ll collaborate directly with clients, consultants and in‑house teams to deliver expert planning advice, prepare applications and shape development strategies.

• Lead and support on planning applications, appraisals, pre‑apps and development strategies.
• Prepare and submit planning statements, reports and design & access statements.
• Provide clients with expert advice on national and local planning policy and its implications.
• Work closely with internal teams in design, architecture and landscape to deliver integrated solutions.
• Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
• Assist with planning appeals and public consultations as required.

• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• MRTPI qualification (or working towards).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a consultancy, local authority or developer setting.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the English planning system and policy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Collaborative, adaptable and solution‑oriented approach.
