Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading FMCG in their search for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Telford.

Due to a potential retirement, the company is looking to add to their current team of Engineers. They are looking for someone who has experience within the food manufacturing / food packaging industry.

This role is multi‑skilled but is electrically biased (70% Electrical / 30% Mechanical).

• Starting salary of £34,292 per annum
• Rotating 12‑hour shift pattern (days & nights)
• Permanent position

• Fault finding
• Deal with the day‑to‑day breakdowns and changeovers.
• Be involved in getting to the root cause of the problem and find ways to prevent the problems from happening again.
• PLC programming and fault diagnosis
• Root cause analysis of all faults, plan and implement changes
• Deliver electrical and mechanical changes
• Monitor machine performance and provide reactive support for breakdowns
• Replace parts removed from machines and complete correct documentation
• Ensure that communication is effectively maintained with the Section Leader / Shift Manager / Senior Engineer

• Experience with in the food or processing industry essential
• Multi‑skilled position, 70% Electrical, 30% Mechanical
• Prepared to learn new techniques & technology.
• Experience with Siemens S7 PLCs - Highly advantageous
• City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or BTEC National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 17th or 18th edition is preferred
