Job Description & How to Apply Below
£45,000 plus weekend overtime, company vehicle, credit card and all travel covered
Do you ever take something apart just to see how it works... then feel the need to put it back together properly?
That's the heart of this Service Engineer role.
This is hands on electro mechanical work. Real machines. Real faults. Real responsibility. As a Service Engineer, you'll be trusted to get to the root of problems, not patch over them.
Some weeks you'll be on site in the UK rebuilding and repairing high precision equipment. Other weeks you might be overseas supporting customers in places like the Middle East. Overseas travel is around 10 percent and when you're away, everything is covered.
This is not routine maintenance. As a Service Engineer, you'll strip machines down, fault find through electrical and electronic systems, work to tight tolerances and rebuild them so they run exactly as they should. You'll install, commission, train customers and step in when downtime really matters.
When you're not in the field, you'll be working in house repairing, testing and preparing machinery. You'll plan your work properly, think things through before you start and take ownership of what you're doing.
The team matters here. There's a mix of experience and a retiring workforce who actually want to pass knowledge on. They're not precious about it. They want someone curious, engaged and interested in where the technology is heading, not just where it's been.
This is also a place that believes you work to live. You'll see it in the day to day. A 2.30 finish on a Friday, with plans to improve that further. Travel shared fairly. Flexibility when life needs it.
To be right for this Service Engineer role, you'll be someone who:
Is confident across electrical, electronic and mechanical systems
Enjoys fault finding and rebuilding equipment properly
Is comfortable working in house, on site or in the field
Asks questions and wants to keep learning
Has a driving licence and a valid passport
You might already be a Service Engineer, or you could come from a maintenance or electro mechanical background. Titles matter less than mindset here.
Alongside the £45,000 salary, you'll have a fully expensed vehicle, business credit card, laptop, iPad and phone. Weekend overtime is paid at enhanced rates. You'll also get 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, enhanced private healthcare, a matched 5% pension and proper training.
If you're looking for a Service Engineer role where the work is interesting, the standards are high and the people are decent, this is worth a chat.
