Location: Edinburgh, Birmingham or London office (Hybrid – on‑site & remote)

Salary and benefits: Up to £70,000 depending on experience plus bonus 16‑32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, pension, life assurance, volunteering days and more.

Role OverviewAs a Lead Finance Business Partner in the Pension & Savings division, you will support the Workplace and Retail Intermediated business, delivering financial insights and driving performance improvement. You will partner with senior stakeholders to influence investment decisions, value‑adding initiatives and challenge targets.
Core Responsibilities- Challenge business performance plans and outcomes to maximise commercial value.
- Develop financial forecasting and planning across key metrics, ensuring alignment with business activity.
- Explain trading results to stakeholders in a meaningful way, influencing decisions and actions.
- Identify options for financial performance management and present findings effectively.
- Deliver ad‑hoc commercial analysis, identify key trends and recommend actions.
- Support creation of business cases aligned with strategy, forecasting and planning.
- Communicate complex information to a wide audience, tailoring outputs to the audience.
- Seek ways to optimise outputs and drive best practice in execution.
- Own commercial assessments, feeding into investment decisions and ensuring financial impacts are considered.
- Represent the team in internal and external working groups, engaging stakeholders and ensuring reasonable requirements are met.
- Strong understanding of pensions and savings products, competitive landscape and wider markets.
- Curious mindset with a desire for problem solving and optimisation.
- Analytical thinking and clear communication of complex information.
- Ability to prioritise and seek guidance in a fast‑changing environment.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and business partnering.
- Influencing skills across various levels and navigating sensitive decisions.
- Accountancy qualification.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, professional growth and collaboration.
- Proactively improve processes, strengthen controls and maintain high‑quality delivery.
