Sister​/Charge Nurse - Trauma and Orthopaedics

Responsibilities

• To function as a competent clinical practitioner within Trauma and Orthopaedics.
• To deliver direct patient care whilst co‑ordinating and overseeing nursing practice.
• To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty.
• To ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group.

• The successful candidate must have experience of working in an acute ward environment with a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of the unit in an effective and efficient manner.
• Experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics is desirable.
• Must be a clinical role model with a willingness to contribute to the development of the team as well as their own professional growth.
• Excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy and dynamic nursing team on the Elective Orthopaedic Ward. This is a demanding role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change.

We are a 14‑bedded ward providing various Orthopaedic surgical interventions for patients with known Orthopaedic conditions, to improve quality of life.
