FRM was established in February 2020 initially to take on the property maintenance for our sister company, Seekers Property Services - an independent lettings agent with a portfolio in excess of 350 properties - and we now have an established customer base which includes other lettings agents and private customers for which we carry out regular maintenance up to full refurbishments and beyond.
We are looking for a qualified Joiner to join our growing team. We are looking for people who are experienced in their field and who genuinely take a pride in their work. More About You Our Maintenance Team Leader must have a full UK driving license and be comfortable using computers/tablets which will be relied on to manage job reports.
Full training on our computer software will be provided. You will be skilled and experienced in either a particular trade, or on the tools as a generalist maintenance operative. You will also be experienced in leading and coaching a team to get the best out of those who report to you. As a Maintenance Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring any completion dates on jobs and projects are met. Ensuring the highest quality of works on all jobs. Conducting quality control checks and following procedures to escalate when required. Ensuring PPE is always available and in use. Lead weekly team meetings and deliver Toolbox talks. Ensuring company RAMS and H&S policy are always adhered to. Ensure your team are always following company policies and procedures.
Act as first point of contact for Maintenance Operatives, giving advice and guidance if required. Ensuring your team are reporting jobs with the correct level of detail in job notes in accordance with company requirements. Conduct quality control checks and follow procedures to escalate when required. Holiday and toil first approval for your team to ensure a fair work life balance in accordance with business needs.
Conduct monthly one to ones and annual appraisals with team members. Developing your teams skills and abilities in line with our core values. Assist on the tools where required to support the team. As a Maintenance Team Leader you will require the following Qualifications/Licenses:
Driving Licence (required) Level 3 NVQ in either general maintenance or a specific trade (or equivalent experience) At least 2 years of experience in leading or managing a team Hours of work: 40 hours per week to be carried out between 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday. TOIL and overtime available to suit the needs of the business. We operate an out of hours on call rota, with each operative required to be on call two weeks per year.
