Shift supervisor, Management

Job Description:

As the Warehouse Shift Coordinator you will ensure organisation of staffing schedules, leading a team of 4-8 Warehouse Operatives to ensure that day to day activities meet required targets on time and in full.

This will be a working role leading by example. Reporting directly to the Deputy Warehouse Manager and taking on overall responsibility when the DWM is absent.

Responsibilities:

* Health & Safety inc Housekeeping

* Maintain safe working practices and environment.

* Assisting with Investigation reports

* Understand warehouse compliance regulations

* Communication relating to H&S to immediate team

* Stock control, material flow and fleet management

* Monitor and communicate reports to immediate team

* Safe, accurate and effective storage of goods

* Oversee team performance and fleet utilisation

* Daily Control of goods in/out process

* Team organisation and development

* Identify and report training requirements

* Ensure communication flow throughout the team

* Out of hours’ co-ordination of the team

* Identify and report improvement opportunities

* Deputise for the DWM when required

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

* Demonstrable experience in a medium to large fast moving consumer goods manufacturing company

* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

* Experience of working to achieve multiple deadlines

* IOSH qualification

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

* Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the team and at all levels internally and externally

* Experience of using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)

* Current, valid counterbalance and reach FLT licence

* Experience of COSHH and control measures associated with this

* Knowledge and understanding of KPI tracking and reporting
