Overview
KPA Recruitment are seeking a skilled Upholsterer for a client based in Stafford Park.
Responsibilities- Read and interpret patterns, sketches, and instructions to determine the design details
- Measure the furniture frames and prepare patterns
- Cut out the fabric to pattern
- Fix webbing and springs into seats
- Cover frames with padding and fabric using industrial sewing machines, stitches, staples, tacks and glue
- Use decorative techniques such as fringing, piping and buttoning
- Renovate and re-upholster old furniture
- Perform alterations and repairs on furniture as required
- Inspect finished products for quality and ensure they meet the required specifications.
Suitable candidates must have proven experience in operating industrial sewing machines and other relevant tools and strong knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and sewing techniques. Strong attention to detail and precision is essential.
HoursHours of work are Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm. Temp to perm.
