Join a long‑standing food production business in Telford, Shropshire as a permanent Machine Setter Operator.

Location:

Telford, Shropshire. 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12‑hour day and night shifts). Salary: £33,733 – £43,500 per annum, progressing with training. Requires residence within a 20‑25 mile radius of Telford.

• Lead and oversee the performance of a cutting‑edge production line, working closely with machine operators to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Take ownership of line performance, identifying and resolving technical issues to minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement by refining processes and collaborating with development teams to boost productivity.
• Ensure full compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health and Safety standards at all times.
• Perform start‑ups, changeovers, and daily operations in line with standard operating procedures.
• Train and guide team members, sharing technical expertise to drive performance and maintain high standards.

• A strong technical mindset and passion for working with machinery.
• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the food or processing industry.
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving, with the ability to take action and deliver results under pressure.
• A commitment to continuous learning, with a keen interest in new techniques and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, confident to challenge and collaborate effectively with team members and experts.
