We have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner at The Junction Health Centre
, located directly outside Clapham Junction Train Station. The centre is open 7 days a week, 8am–8pm, and we’re looking for someone to work at least Friday 8am–8pm, with the option to take weekend shifts. This role will offer between 12‑23 hours per week.
You will be a key member of our team, using your advanced clinical skills to provide autonomous care for patients presenting with acute, undifferentiated, or complex conditions, and/or managing long‑term conditions. This unique opportunity will help you develop your clinical expertise in both urgent care and general practice.
You will be required to work within Clinical Guidelines, Policies, Procedures and will use expert judgment to work outside these frameworks where necessary. You must be able to prescribe within professional competence.
This role will be working across both general practice and the hub service on an ad‑hoc bank basis and you will play an integral role in delivering a high‑quality service to patients.
ResponsibilitiesAs an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you’ll assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients autonomously every day. You will order investigations and interpret results, and be responsible for providing an excellent standard of patient care and health promotion to the general public.
What We’ll Need From You- Autonomous Nurse Practitioner with a patient assessment qualification and recent work experience within a Primary/Urgent Care environment
- Independent prescribing qualification
- NMC Pin
- Experience in managing long‑term conditions
- Regional and national career development opportunities
- Regular clinical supervision and education events, including weekly case discussions with the Medical Lead
- Bimonthly evening meals/clinical updates for the team, with external speakers
