Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are working in partnership with a reputable main contractor who is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a £25 million social housing project based in Welwyn. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant QS looking to develop their career on a large-scale project while working closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The Role:

Assisting in the commercial management of a £25m social housing scheme Reporting directly into a Senior Quantity Surveyor Assisting with subcontract order preparation and placement Carrying out measurement of trade packages Supporting cost control, forecasting and reporting Assisting with subcontract procurement and package management Preparing and agreeing valuations and variations Working closely with site and project management team

The Ideal Candidate :
Current experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Assistant Experience working for a main contractor preferred Background in social housing or residentialprojects advantageous Confident with measurement and subcontract administration Strong numerical and analytical skills Relevant construction or commercial qualifications (or working towards) Whats on
