Supply Chain Manager (MRO) – Lead

Job Purpose

Lead a team to cross-functionally develop innovative commercial solutions, align priorities with business needs, build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, undertake supplier visits as required, and provide support and guidance to other team members.

Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure all Supply Chain activities comply with company policies and procedures within the IMS.
  • Adhere to the authority matrix, ensuring all investments are formally presented and signed off.
Planning & Delivery
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with Ontic sites and Distribution partners to ensure timely delivery of materials for operational requirements.
  • Represent Supply Chain daily in internal Operations and Site meetings to address critical business needs.
Project & Demand Management
  • Understand project demand requirements and provision material to support new production line setups.
  • Collaborate with the PMO team from the early stages of a licence life cycle to balance supply and demand during transitions.
  • Work closely with the OE Supply Chain team to ensure clear communication and effective direction regarding supply issues.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage with internal stakeholders such as finance, engineering, legal, PMO, and public relations to advance sustainability initiatives.
  • Undertake supplier site visits as needed to strengthen partnerships and address supply challenges.
Team & Performance Development
  • Support the transition and setup of the MRO facility, focusing on continuous improvement and developing team capabilities.
  • Present weekly and monthly performance measures to demonstrate supplier and team performance improvements.
Operational Support
  • Resolve invoice queries in collaboration with the accounts payable team.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of Supply Chain data to support planning accuracy and business efficiency.
Other Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, licensors, suppliers, and stakeholders while upholding company values at all times.
  • Ensure reports and metrics are accurate, kept up to date, and communicated effectively.
  • Adhere to all employment legislation, including health and safety, data protection, and equal opportunities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with statutory requirements, regulations, and all relevant company policies.
  • Undertake any additional duties commensurate with the role as required.

Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities
  • A degree or equivalent in a technical subject or significant industry experience with good educational standards at lower-level qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and proven experience of working with suppliers.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills of technical issues.
  • Capable of being a self-starter with a minimal amount of direct supervision.
  • Effective and accurate use of MS Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Able to produce clear, concise and accurate written and verbal communications (in English) at all levels.
  • Ability to empower and inspire teams to deliver excellence.
  • Confident in a fast-moving and changing environment with the skill to prioritise tasks as the project or business demands.
  • Willing to occasionally work outside core hours and be flexible to react to the business priorities.
