CNC Turner Setter-Operator

Position: CNC Turner Setter-Operator Permanent)
Our client, a privately owned engineering company in Tewkesbury, is seeking experienced CNC Turners to set, prove out and operate multi-axis CNC turning centres using Mazatrol (Smooth) and/or Fanuc controls. This is a turning-focused role, producing precision components to tight tolerances. We are recruiting for these roles on a permanent basis.

Available positions

2 x CNC Turner (Days): 08:00-17:00 (Friday 08:00-13:00) - £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience
1 x CNC Turner (Twilight): 16:30-02:45, Monday to Thursday - £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience, plus 30% shift allowance

Key responsibilities

Set, prove out and operate CNC lathes and turning centres
Machine components to drawings, tolerances and surface-finish specifications
Carry out first-off and in-process inspections
Prepare tooling, materials and set-ups
Work with production teams to maintain efficient machine utilisation

Skills and experience

Experience with Mazatrol and/or Fanuc on turning machines
Background in precision engineering
Confident using measuring equipment and working to tight tolerances
Good attention to detail, reliable and safety-focused
