Salary: £45’000 – 50’000 depending on experience

Overview of role

A hands-on senior quality role with full ownership of product quality across a high-reliability manufacturing operation. You will lead the inspection function, protect the customer, and drive sustainable improvement, with the authority to stop production where quality is at risk.

The business supplies technically demanding products where quality, compliance, and consistency are critical. The operation combines complex manufacturing with a strong focus on continuous improvement and customer confidence.

Key responsibilities

* Lead and support the Quality Inspection team

* Own inspection performance and product release decisions

* Stop production where quality standards are at risk

* Act as the senior quality contact for customers and audits

* Lead structured investigations into non-conformances

* Implement effective corrective and preventive actions

* Use quality data to identify trends and drive improvement

* Ensure compliance with customer and accreditation requirements

What we are looking for

* Senior or Lead Quality Engineer experience in electronics, PCB manufacturing, or a similar high-reliability environment

* Experience leading Quality Inspectors or technical teams

* Strong background in customer-facing quality investigations

* Confident communicator able to challenge and influence at all levels

* Solid understanding of SPC, audits, and structured problem solving
