Location:
Thame, Oxfordshire (national travel to support locations and offices as required)
Hours:
37.5 hours per week. Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week on site.
Reports to:
Director of Operations.
Salary: £48,000 per annum.

We are looking for a proactive, people-focused Operations Performance Manager to join Affinity Trust in this new and influential role. You’ll shape how we use insight, collaboration, and good practice to strengthen workforce performance and create lasting impact for the people we support.
What you will do- Lead positive change
:
Train and coach managers to plan, roster, and deploy teams effectively, embedding best practice in systems like SONA. - Turn insight into action
:
Use workforce information to spot challenges and opportunities, then work side by side with operational leaders to deliver practical, sustainable improvements. - Collaborate and influence
:
Work with Operations, HR, Recruitment, Finance, and Quality teams to design joined‑up workforce solutions that strengthen service quality and colleague wellbeing. - Build capability
:
Develop managers’ confidence in using evidence to make decisions and sustain performance improvement across all levels. - Measure impact
:
Review how workforce changes affect quality, employee experience, and financial sustainability and share learning across the organisation.
We are looking for a confident communicator, relationship‑builder, strategic thinker, and natural problem solver who enjoys making positive change happen. You’ll be equally comfortable generating and analysing a workforce report and coaching a manager to put improvements in place.
- Strong analytical ability and experience in workforce or operations management within social care, healthcare, or a related people‑focused setting.
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the confidence to inspire change.
- Hands‑on experience with workforce systems and advanced Excel proficiency (SONA, Nourish, or RADAR experience a bonus).
- Understanding of CQC and Scottish Care Inspectorate standards.
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel across England and Scotland, including overnight stays.
