Are you a Civil Infrastructure Engineer with a few years of consultancy experience looking to take the next step in Thatcham? You will be joining a well‑established civil engineering team delivering highways, drainage and infrastructure projects across a wide range of sectors. This Civil Infrastructure Engineer role offers exposure to varied schemes, modern design tools and a flexible working structure that supports both productivity and work‑life balance.
The roleAs a Civil Infrastructure Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
Key responsibilities- Designing highways, drainage and general civil infrastructure schemes
- Producing detailed layouts and drawings using industry‑standard software
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and external stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team
- Contributing to sustainable design solutions and continuous improvement
This role suits a motivated Civil Infrastructure Engineer looking to develop.
Qualifications and experience- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- At least 3 years' UK experience in infrastructure, drainage or highways design
- Progress toward Chartered Engineer status with ICE or similar
- Strong technical ability with relevant design software
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
