Responsibilities

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, storage, and virtualization platforms. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing system requirements, and ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of the infrastructure. The Infrastructure Engineer will play a key role in troubleshooting issues, implementing new technologies, and optimizing the infrastructure for maximum performance and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering reliable infrastructure solutions.

Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, storage, and virtualization platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather system requirements and define infrastructure specifications based on business needs.
Plan, execute, and oversee infrastructure projects, ensuring successful implementation within scope, budget, and timeline.
Configure and deploy network equipment, servers, and storage systems, ensuring proper integration with existing infrastructure.
Perform regular system monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning to ensure optimal infrastructure operation and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, working closely with technical teams and vendors to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Implement and enforce security measures and best practices to protect the organization's infrastructure from potential threats.
Collaborate with system administrators and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of infrastructure components.
Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments to ensure the infrastructure can accommodate future growth and demands.
Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline infrastructure management and enhance operational efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in infrastructure engineering and design.
Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in designing and managing IT infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in networking, server administration, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
