Job Overview
St Martins Care are recruiting for a Registered Nurse to work at their busy Nursing and Residential Care Home. Role-specific Duties
- Ensure residents are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice, policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager.
- Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- Work within the NMC Code of Conduct.
- Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.

- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues within the service.
- Work in cooperation with members of multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for residents.
- Maintain and develop relationships with residents' loved ones.
Leading By Example
- Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth.
- Act as a role model for others and an ambassador for the service.
- Be professional, polite, and reasonable at all times.
Personal and Professional Development
- Have knowledge of, and work within, the Fundamental Standards.
- Be registered with the NMC and work within the Code of Conduct.
- Comply with NMC revalidation every three years.
- Understand the regulatory framework governing the service, including CQC requirements.
- Commit to achieving relevant qualifications commensurate with the role.
- Attend statutory and other training as directed by management.
- Follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role.

Essential Criteria
- Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Qualification.
- Registered with a relevant body, e.g., NMC.
- Good English (written and verbal).
- Skills
- Maintain care plans/care records in accordance with the service’s policy.
- Communication skills to build rapport with residents.
- Problem‑solving skills to adapt to situations quickly.
- Assist residents with daily tasks following their care plan.
- Supervise staff providing residents with support/assistance.
- Provide nursing care in accordance with current best practice.
- Undertake all aspects of medicine management in line with legal, professional, and regulatory requirements.
- Previous Experience
- Previous experience of working in a similar environment.
