We’re currently looking for a Night Container Control Clerk at our Tilbury Depot on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. The successful candidate will accurately and promptly record all aspects of container movements, stock control, repairs, and other depot activities, maintaining regular communication between the depot, our offices, customers and suppliers. The role includes preparing reports as required and providing support to other team members by covering assigned tasks.

- Control of access and exit gates liaising with HGV drivers booking in and out of the depot
- Record all equipment received and dispatched
- Control of all container stocks and stock levels within the depot
- Input container repair estimates, monitor authorizations and update repair records
- Check and process incoming/outgoing invoices
- Monthly accounts check to ensure all data is processed and submitted accurately
- Issue and reconcile depot equipment release via internal/external systems
- Accurately and timely prepare daily/weekly reports for MSC Geneva and UK Management
- Proven ability to manage and plan forward within a fast‑paced, demanding and constantly evolving environment
- Ability to address and resolve day‑to‑day business issues with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good numeracy, literacy, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Be able to demonstrate a professional manner at all times
- Ability to be flexible and meet strict deadlines
- Must remain focused on prioritisation of day‑to‑day emails and tasks
- Excellent communication and decision‑making skills
- Continued positive attitude to new business challenges
