Key Responsibilities Daily Warehouse Operations
- Lead all inbound and outbound pallet operations.
- Manage warehouse staff, including shift planning, performance monitoring, and training.
- Oversee loading/unloading of vehicles, ensuring accuracy and adherence to schedules.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organised warehouse areas at all times.
- Operate and manage all warehouse processes through Clarus
. - Ensure all stock movements, pallet scans, inbound receipts, and despatch activities are recorded accurately.
- Generate operational reports from Clarus and ensure data integrity.
- Train and support warehouse staff on Clarus functionality.
- Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to H&S regulations and company policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and regular warehouse checks.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and insurance purposes.
- Motivate, develop, and support warehouse operatives.
- Lead by example on the warehouse floor—hands-on, problem-solving, and operationally visible.
- Manage disciplinary, performance, and attendance processes when required.
- Work closely with the Transport Manager to align warehouse and vehicle schedules.
- Liaise with customers, drivers, admin, and operations teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Support continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce operational errors.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Supervisor in a palletised freight / distribution environment.
- Mandatory experience using Clarus software (WMS).
- Strong understanding of warehouse flow, loading plans, and freight movement.
- Hands‑on leadership style — not office‑based only.
- Excellent problem‑solving, planning, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations.
- PC literate with strong organisational skills.
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance or Reach).
- Experience working within pallet networks.
- Knowledge of transport processes and cross‑department coordination.
