Maintenance Operative

Empower Talent are partnered with a well-established retail organisation in Stirling to recruit a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Operative. This is a long-term, permanent role within a busy site that needs someone who takes pride in keeping a building safe, functional and presentable.

• Carrying out day-to-day repairs and planned maintenance
• Basic plumbing, joinery and painting tasks
• Reactive maintenance - fixing issues quickly and properly
• Maintaining store equipment and ensuring safe operation
• Supporting compliance checks and building safety routines
• Liaising with store management and external contractors
• Keeping maintenance logs updated and organised

• Proven experience in a maintenance, caretaking or handyman-style role
• Good all-round practical skills
• Someone who can spot problems early and sort them without fuss
• A safe, tidy worker who takes pride in doing things properly
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload
• Strong communication skills and a straightforward, dependable attitude

• Permanent, full-time employment with a stable retail employer
• £14 per hour
• Monday-Friday working
• Supportive on-site team and varied work week
