Lead Technician

Lead Technician – Nuffield Health, Tiverton HSSU Hub

Location:

Tiverton, United Kingdom.
Position:
Permanent, Full‑time (37.5 hours/week). Alternating shift schedule:
Week 1 – Wed‑Fri 9am‑7pm, Sat 4pm‑2am;
Week 2 – Wed‑Fri 12pm‑10pm, Sat 4pm‑2am.
Salary: £26,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Based in a state‑of‑the‑art Sterile Services Unit, you will clean, disinfect, inspect, package and sterilise surgical instruments, contributing to patient safety in both private and NHS hospitals.

• Help lead a team of HSSU Process Technicians.
• Organise workload to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain process equipment and accessories in full working order, reporting faults and anomalies.
• Resolve issues and problems, escalating where necessary.
• Handle customer queries.

• Enthusiastic and motivated.
• Strong organisational skills with accurate record‑keeping in line with statutory and organisational policies.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working environment and inspect devices for cleanliness, function and damage.
• Monitor stock status and advise line manager on re‑ordering needs.
• Basic general education with proven literacy and numeracy.
• Evidence of previous sterile services training.
• Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and basic computer literacy.
• Attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver high‑quality service.
