SummaryDirects and coordinates marine site equipment, laborers, and marine-related materials to ensure marine projects are completed successfully and on schedule. Responsible for production, quality control,ferien workforce management, and staff safety on designated jobs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- ispoversee d and monitor projects to ensure work is completed on‑time and within budget.
- workالرwithin the pamoja scope and budget assigned to the project, coordinating progression with management and the customer.
- review job schedules and project complexity to determine work priorities and assign appropriate staff to specific jobs/tasks.
- organize, supervise, lead, and train employees to complete projects within established guidelines and time frames.
- maintain control of personnel/project staffing and may recommend disciplinary action.
- submit crew‑members’ timesheets into payroll by deadline.
- interact effectively with shipyard management and their employees.
- ensure safety policies are adhered to and compliance requirements are met.
- provide project managers and support staff with project updates and other relevant information.
- implement inspection checklists.
- perform other related duties as assigned.
- oversee foremen and production staff, which may vary by project but can exceed 25 people.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Attributes
- minimum of 10 years of experience in the marine coatings industry (preferred);
- prior management/supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- regular exposure to dusty conditions, extreme temperatures, high noise levels, outdoor weather conditions, wet/humid conditions, hazardous machinery, and confined spaces;
- EXECUTION on scaffolds and ladders for extended periods;
- travel is often required;
- shift work and overtime are common;
- risk of injury from electric shock, falls, cuts, etc.;
- stamina required for standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and crawling;
- required to reach with hands and arms, grip or handle, and to lift or move heavy objects;
- required to use vision for close, distant, and peripheral inspections.
- computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, adding-, scanner;
- industrial and marine equipment required for on‑site project management.
