Key Responsibilities- Support the drafting of BAT Conclusions and liaise with Technical Working Groups.
- Present a final document suitable for publication as a new UK-wide environmental standard for industry.
- Coordinate the work of technical authors.
- Apply project management skills to deliver solutions on time.
- Ensure documents are detailed, accurate and meet legislative standards.
- Critically review technical arguments and data to ensure reliability.
- Minimum five years of working experience with a solid understanding of environmental regulation across industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU industrial environmental legislation, including the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) and the Environmental Permitting Regulations.
- Experience coordinating and reviewing the publication of technical documents.
- Understanding the implications of BAT Conclusions in permits, on industry and the environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise tasks and resources to ensure timely and effective results.
- Flexibility in responding to challenges and adeptness at building consensus.
- Capability to collect and conduct technical analysis of complex industrial data.
- Ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and actively encourage others to consider diversity issues.
