Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members and are committed to transparency in our pay practices.
The estimated annual base salary range for this position is $49670 - $65804.8. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training.

This position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and individual performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 4% of annual base earnings.

Reporting to Manager - Finance & Accounting, the Accounting Specialist will support the accounts payable process.

Key Responsibilities

Process a high volume of invoices with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ensure invoices are matched to the correct purchase order, including quantity and price considerations.

Resolve issues associated with the processing of invoices.

Check supplier statements and reconcile them with our AP records.

Respond to supplier inquiries on time.

Prepare and process supplier payments.

Review and approve employee expense reports through Concur.

Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to support financial planning and decision-making.

Assist in the month-end closing process by ensuring all accounts payable transactions are recorded accurately and timely, and by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.

Support additional projects as requested by management

What we are looking for:

College Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).

1- 3 years of accounts payable experience

Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Oracle ERP and SAP Concur) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and accounts payable best practices.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent analytical and strong problem-solving skills are a must, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Physical Effort:

Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs.

Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events).
