    Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
    Reports to: Accounting Supervisor

    Position Summary
    The Accounting Administrator is responsible for supporting the Finance Department of SPLC in all areas including general ledger, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Accounting
  • Processes accounts payable entries for non-account transactions on timely basis
  • Maintains and assists accounts payable modules in accounting database
  • Processes invoices/credits and payments within department guideline
  • Resolve Purchasing and Vendor inquires as required
  • 2. Cash Management:
  • Collects client payments as required, ensures the security of payment
  • Process weekly/monthly cheque run & validate the accuracy
  • Maintains donation database and issues tax receipts
  • Education :
  • Completion of Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Experience & Skills :
  • Two to three years full cycle of accounting experience or similar role
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and guidelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Experience using accounting systems such as ACCPAC, Great Plains, or Quick Books software
  • Ability to work independently on tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to occasionally work additional hours when required; to meet strict deadlines
  • Other:
  • Vulnerable Sector screening required
