Experienced Accountant

Accountant – Scarborough, Ontario, Canada

Hire Loft Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing company in the automotive sector that is looking to add a strong, hands‑on Accountant to their finance team. This is a full‑time, permanent role based on‑site in Scarborough.

What You’ll Do

• Handle day‑to‑day accounting operations, including AP, AR, intercompany entries, and project‑based accounting.
• Support long‑term project accounting for tooling and multi‑entity work.
• Process, distribute, and reconcile sales invoices.
• Work within a large ERP system (CMS experience is an asset, but not required).
• Maintain fixed assets and construction‑in‑progress schedules.
• Communicate with vendors and customers on settlements and payment issues.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end / year‑end procedures.
• Prepare working papers, schedules, and supporting documents for external auditors.
• Support government program documentation and compliance requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• 3 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing or automotive sector experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting systems and comfort with ERP environments.
• Advanced Excel and solid analytical skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and accurate in reporting and reconciliations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with operations.
• CPA designation is an asset but not required.

Compensation & Work Setup

• Salary up to $80,000
  , depending on experience.
• On‑site position in Scarborough.
