Senior Accountant

About the Company    Our client is a mid-sized accounting firm. They are looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of owner-managed clients, preparing and reviewing Notice to Reader engagements, compilations, corporate and personal tax returns, and supporting assurance engagements as required. The workload is approximately 20% Assurance and 80% NTR/Compilation and tax-related work.

About the Opportunity
Prepare and review Notice to Reader, Compilation, Review Engagement, and Audit files for a diverse portfolio of clients
Prepare complex corporate, partnership, trust, and personal tax returns
Assist managers and partners with assurance engagements from planning through completion
Analyze financial information and provide recommendations to clients
Liaise directly with clients regarding accounting, tax, and operational matters
Supervise and mentor junior staff members
Support special projects, business advisory, and consulting engagements
Ensure engagements are completed efficiently and in accordance with professional standards

About You
CPA designation required
2-3+ years of experience within a Canadian public accounting firm
Strong knowledge of ASPE, Canadian tax, and assurance standards
Experience preparing and reviewing owner-managed business files
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
Experience mentoring and training junior team members

Salary Range
$90,000 - $100,000/year
