Downtown Toronto dealership is looking for a Parts Runner to join our amazing team!
Job Purpose
The Parts Runner assists the Parts and Service Departments with picking and delivering parts.
Responsibilities
Picking parts for parts invoices and service repair ordersDelivering parts to technicians baysPicking and delivering tools to technicians as requestedMaintaining a log book of tool sign in/out activityChecking tools returned for damage and reporting it to Service management promptlyMaintaining organization and cleanliness of the tool roomAssisting in picking, delivering to the shop, receiving from the shop, and tagging of customer and dealer summer/winter wheels & tires that are stored by the dealership in a timely mannerDaily collection of warranty parts from technician baysMaintaining a log book of warranty parts returned accompanied with confirmation by the technician’s and your initialsCollection of scrap metal, scrap tires, and other shop waste from technician bays and relocation to designated spaces in garbage bayRe-stocking parts shelves as requiredAssisting in receiving parts deliveries as requiredAssisting in keeping the shipping/receiving area clearGeneral department housekeeping (i.e. sweeping, dusting, garbage removal, etc.)Qualifications
Experience with automotive dealership parts department procedures and parts catalogue will be an asset.Basic knowledge of car components and systemsCustomer service orientedOrganizational and follow up skillsAttention to detail a mustA valid Ontario G Driver’s Licence and clean driver’s abstractAbility to drive cube size vanProfessional appearance & friendly attitudeAble to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to do heavy liftingComputer literate and ability to use Microsoft Office ApplicationsBasic math skillsPersonal Attributes
