The Site Superintendent plays a vital role in coordinating and supervising construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are executed effectively, adhering to schedules, budgets, and safety regulations.
This position involves overseeing daily on-site construction activities, managing trades and labourers, and collaborating closely with project managers and other team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring all tasks are performed to the highest standards.Manage and coordinate the work of external labourers and trades, promoting efficiency and quality.Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.Liaise with project managers and other key stakeholders to maintain clear communication and project alignment.Monitor construction progress, addressing any deviations from the project timeline or specifications.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans and safety standards.Resolve on-site challenges and conflicts, ensuring smooth operations.Manage resource allocation, including materials and equipment, to ensure optimal use.Maintain accurate and detailed records of construction progress, resource usage, and workforce management.Facilitate team meetings and safety briefings, ensuring all personnel are informed and aligned with project goals.Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in ICI construction projects.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse team of workers and tradespeople.Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and safety regulations specific to ICI projects.Proficiency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.Proven track record in managing construction schedules and meeting project deadlines.Ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems effectively on construction sites.Detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality and precision.Relevant certifications such as PMP, construction safety training, or other industry-recognized qualifications are beneficial.
