The Opportunity
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working with senior executives both in-house and externally on many large scale multi-million, and even billion dollar, projects.
Position Description
Representing your client’s best interest your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring that all stakeholders are delivering on contractually agreementsOverseeing all cost management activities representing clients best interests in terms of estimates, expenditures, etc.Pre, during and post construction costing/estimates.Participating in value management and value engineering techniquesManaging entire life cycle costing processesLiaising with clients and all stakeholders throughout all stages of the projectBringing any discrepancies to the attention of the client, outlining risks and making recommendationsAttending stakeholder meetingsCompiling regular reports for clientsExperience
Must have 8 + years of experience in cost estimating/consultingMust have experience working directly for a consultancy representing stakeholders best interestsQualifications
8+ years’ experience in cost estimating/consulting8+ years’ experience delivering pre-construction and post contract construction cost servicesProfessional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) or working towards obtaining the PQS designation.Membership in good standing with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or any other relevant professional organizationCompletion of a University degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or other related field.Experience with large scale multi-million dollar projectsExperience with civil works, railways, subway systems, metro systems, etc.Education
Completion of a University degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or other related field.Membership in good standing with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or any other relevant professional organizationPQS designation or working towards PQS
